About the Role

As a Production Financial Controller at LMP RECRUIT, you will play a critical role in driving financial excellence in our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in managing teams and implementing financial processes. They will be expected to develop and implement effective financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Billing of Materials: Manage the billing process for materials and ensure accurate recording of costs.
  • Trial Balance, Balance Sheet and Income Statement: Prepare and review these financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Inventory Costing and Work in Progress: Develop and implement effective inventory costing systems to ensure accurate valuation and minimization of losses.
  • Fleet Management: Oversee the management of company vehicles, including maintenance, fuel, and other expenses.
  • Creditors: Ensure accurate and timely payment of creditors, minimizing interest charges and maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
  • Cashbook: Manage the cashbook, ensuring accurate recording of receipts and payments.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and implement effective internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Fixed Assets: Manage the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording and valuation of assets.
  • Annual Audits: Coordinate and prepare for annual audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is available and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-8 years of manufacturing experience
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Syspro knowledge (an added advantage)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
