At Curiska (Pty) Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Engineer to join our team as a Technical Project Lead. This role will be responsible for leading simulation projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all tasks are executed according to the time, mass, and budget targets.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical/design engineering, with 3-5 years of experience in simulation engineering. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Additionally, they will have strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop concepts and perform problem-solving to meet design criteria under supervision of the Chief Engineer.
- Define, create, solve, and interpolate simulation models according to specifications provided by the Chief Engineer.
- Evaluate finite element simulations.
- Prepare simulation models of components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies, using business file structure guidelines, number protocol, and design standards.
- Responsible for the technical integrity of allocated simulation, including the integrity of results and conclusions made.
- Document and record simulation results.
- Ensure traceability of simulation models or results.
- Follow development process and procedures as described in the quality system, ensuring relevant reviews and procedures are completed to reduce design risk.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- (Post-) graduate degree in mechanical/design engineering, or N-dip in mechanical/design engineering, or B-tech degree in mechanical/design engineering.
- Graduate engineers with 3-5 years of experience will be considered as simulation engineer.
- Previous simulation experience in linear and non-linear finite element analysis would be greatly advantageous.
Salary: R500,000 - R750,000 per annum.
Location: South Africa.
