We are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator (DBA) with 6-10 years of experience to join our dynamic team in a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL replication expertise and a proven ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment. This role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site work as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Management: Manage and maintain SQL databases to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • SQL Replication: Implement and support SQL Transactional and Merge Replication for data consistency across databases.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries for efficiency.
  • Backup and Recovery: Conduct database backups, recovery, and perform regular maintenance tasks.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to support database changes and updates.
  • Data Security: Uphold data security and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Database Design: Contribute to database design, architecture planning, and capacity management.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6-10 years of proven experience as a DBA, with a focus on SQL replication (Transactional and Merge).
  • Expertise: Strong expertise in SQL Server and database administration best practices.
  • Skills: Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and analysis.
  • Understanding: Solid understanding of disaster recovery and backup strategies.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently within a remote team environment.
  • Communication: Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • This is a full-time role dedicated to a single client.
  • The role is set up in a hybrid manner with most work conducted remotely.
