About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Municipal Infrastructure Advisor to join our team at Superprof. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight and quality assurance of project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in project planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  2. Provide technical oversight and quality assurance of project deliverables.
  3. Support procurement processes, contractor management, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  4. Identify technical challenges and recommend solutions.

Capacity Augmentation Initiative

  1. Conduct skills assessments and identify capacity gaps within the municipal technical teams.
  2. Recommend training, coaching, and mentorship programs for municipal officials.
  3. Facilitate knowledge exchange between municipalities and stakeholders.

Monitoring and Evaluation Framework

  1. Establish a monitoring and evaluation framework to track project progress and impact.
  2. Provide periodic progress reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Deliverables

  1. Inception Report: Outlining work plan, methodology, and engagement strategy.
  2. Capacity Assessment Report: Identifying municipal skills gaps and training needs.
  3. Project Progress Reports: Detailing implementation status, challenges, and recommendations.
  4. Technical Support Reports: Covering interventions, technical advice provided, and outcomes.
  5. Final Report: Summarising achievements, recommendations, lessons learned, and sustainability measures.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) or higher in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Development Studies, Public Administration.
  2. Professional registration required in one of the following areas:
  3. Registered Professional Engineer (Pr Eng).
  4. Management Professional (PMP).
  5. Professional Construction Project Manager (PrCPM).
  6. Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng).
  7. Professional Construction Manager (PrCM).
  8. A minimum of 15 years of experience in Project Management, Construction Engineering, technical assessments, or capacity building.
  9. Deployment for a period of two months, with the possibility of extension.
  10. Technical experts required to be available on-site at least 3 days a week and provide remote support as needed.
  11. Commitment to providing ongoing support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Workplace Location: Sekhukhune and Gert Sibande District Municipalities
