Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team. This is an initial contract position, ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about shaping the future of technology.

About the Role

As a key member of our development team, your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and implementing advanced technical solutions. You will collaborate closely with senior developers, leadership, and business stakeholders to contribute to design and implementation of technical standards and best practices.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing new software solutions, including technical documentation, according to functional requirements and standards.
  • Providing input into solution designs and setting up technical frameworks for new applications and interfaces.
  • Analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving errors related to applications and services.
  • Collaborating on source control configurations and release management.
  • Compiling and updating technical models and documentation.
  • Developing changes in line with application architecture and technical standards.
  • Unit testing own programs as well as developed interfaces.
  • Liaising with project stakeholders during the SDLC.
  • Regression testing.

Ensuring Environment Stability and Systems Health

You will work with the implementation and configuration manager to create deployment instructions and artefacts. Collaborate with technical teams to align deployment procedures and assist with system monitoring and optimization during and post deployments/releases. Be on standby for production deployments and resolve issues that may arise.

Collaboration and Contribution

You will provide input to technical and application design and architecture, development standards and best practices, analysts and testers when required. Assist with SQL database design, optimization, and implementation modelling. Implement process and system efficiencies and involvement in strategic project initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 5+ years of experience developing in an object-oriented environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in SQL database design and query writing.
  • Experience in an IT environment within an investment management or financial sector will be an advantage.

Technical Skills

The ideal candidate should possess expertise in:

  • Angular v8+
  • Python (back-end)
  • .Net and React - an advantage.
  • Git source control
  • RESTful services
  • Testing frameworks for APIs
