Job Description

Overview:

The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements in the Treasury department. This includes monitoring and implementing changes to accounting and regulatory policies, communicating these changes to relevant teams, and assessing their impact on the business model, systems, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Compliance Management – 60%
    To maintain a high level of regulatory awareness and stay up-to-date with changes in accounting and financial regulations affecting the Treasury department. Ensure that all team members are aware of and comply with these changes.
  2. Technical Advice and Support – 20%
    Provide expert technical advice and support to other areas of the organization on accounting and regulatory matters. Implement and extend group-wide policies for hedge accounting and provide guidance on accounting treatments for financial instruments.
  3. Impact Assessment and Change Management – 10%
    Monitor and assess the impact of regulatory and accounting changes on the Treasury business model, systems, and processes. Communicate relevant changes to relevant teams and implement necessary adjustments.
  4. Treasury Change Initiatives – 10%
    Ensure that anticipated or proposed change aligns with internal business strategies and external regulations. Provide technical input and support to change initiatives where necessary.

Requirements:

A relevant finance degree (CA, CFA, or FRM) and 3 years of experience in a treasury or markets technical role. Strong understanding of derivative valuations, hedge accounting, and treasury operations.
