Job Title: Skilled Tradesperson - Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

The Role:

  • Maintains and improves mechanical equipment to ensure high reliability, availability, cost efficiency, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts CM dismantling, trouble shooting, spares sorting, and assembling tasks.
  • Performs preventive maintenance, corrective actions, supports planning and preparation, monitors outcomes, and documents results.
  • Works in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Achieves rebuild and local content targets.
  • Follows quality and cleanliness standards.
  • Communicates operational status and deviations.
  • Ensures adherence to safety and housekeeping requirements.
  • Demonstrates continuous improvement and development on a personal and operational level.

Profile Required:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • Section 13 or 26D Trade test Certificate of Fitter/Millwright.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • English proficiency.
  • Relevant experience in flameproofing equipment (5 years).
  • Relevant experience in maintenance and rebuilding of CM's (5 years).
  • Relevant experience in testing and commissioning of CM's (5 years).
  • Experience with data books capturing, quality control, check sheets, and interpreting project plans.

Estimated Salary Range: R600,000 - R800,000 per annum based on Gauteng location and industry standards. This figure may vary depending on individual qualifications, experience, and other factors.
