About the Role

Absa Group is seeking a seasoned Technology Architect Lead SASE to drive the design and delivery of complex, business strategy-aligned technology solution blueprints across our estate. As a key member of our architecture team, you will leverage your deep understanding of network security and software-defined wide area networks (SD-WAN) to identify, design, and deliver scalable, testable, and re-usable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage a solid understanding of the organization's strategy to identify relevant technologies and design scalable, testable, and re-usable solutions.
  • Analyse customer requirements and collaborate with delivery teams to identify and accurately specify complex business problems.
  • Work in collaboration with stakeholders to understand consumers' opinions and perspectives and reconcile these within solution designs.
  • Leverage expertise in analytical and creative problem-solving to synthesise solution designs beyond problem analysis.
  • Create end-to-end solution blueprints and ensure their implementation across all phases of the initiative life-cycle.
  • Design and contribute to the design and implementation of detailed feasibilities and business cases.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of network security, including proficiency in SD-WAN and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
  • Extensive experience in network architecture and security, including hands-on experience designing and implementing secure network solutions.
  • Ability to analyse security threats and devise effective mitigation strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide security teams and ensure alignment with security policies and objectives.
