Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Store Manager to lead our retail store team at GAME Cresta & GAME Fourways. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of store operations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail management, with expertise in inventory management, customer service, and team leadership. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and leading high-performing teams, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Experience:
  • • Ensure all associates project a positive attitude to customers by serving them promptly, efficiently, and in a courteous manner.
  • • Enhance customer experience by recognizing and resolving conflicts promptly.
  • • Emphasize the importance of adhering to company standards and procedures.
  • • Develop and implement action plans derived from customer experience reports.
  • • Ensure associates are attired according to company standards.
  • • Ensure associates possess the necessary skills and product knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
  • • Analyze market trends and initiate strategies to improve sales.
  • • Support, coach, and motivate teams to exceed budgeted sales targets.
  • Expenses:
  • • Plan, monitor, and maximize market opportunities to achieve monthly turnover.
  • • Monitor and control expenses to prevent over-expenditure.
  • • Ensure effective management of TK records.
  • • Adhere to company procedures regarding auction costs.
  • • Implement security measures to minimize shrinkage and damage to goods.
  • • Maintain a disciplined approach to security.
  • Inventory Management:
  • • Ensure stockholding levels align with merchandising plans and sales performance.
  • • Analyze merchandise movement to identify slow-selling/fast-selling items.
  • • Action aged/obsolescence stock according to company procedure.
  • • Maintain core stock and promotional lines according to company standard.
  • • Analyze SAP CAR reports to improve store performance.
  • • Implement space planning according to company standards.
  • Leadership:
  • • Continuously enhance existing capabilities and develop new skills.
  • • Regularly train associates to achieve required standards.
  • • Coach and develop team members to achieve store standards.
  • • Ensure individual development training packs are completed for team members.
  • • Adhere to performance improvement processes.
