  • Mentor and supervise senior researchers, postdoctoral fellows, doctoral and master's students, building human capital through industry and academic collaborations.
  • Attract and retain top talent, securing funding for research and development programs through multiple revenue streams.
  • Lead national and international collaborative research networks with universities and industry, driving commercialization efforts through patenting, licensing, and industry partnerships.
  • Contribute to national strategy discussions on synthetic biology, disseminating research through publications, conference presentations, and public outreach.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
  • A doctoral degree in biomedical sciences, biochemistry, synthetic biology, molecular biology, or a related field with 15+ years of experience in R&D.
  • 10+ years in a managerial capacity, including project and program management, with expertise in managing complex projects and delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Strong international research and innovation track record with an H-index of 25+, demonstrated success in industry collaboration, IP generation, and commercialization.
  • Proven ability to attract and supervise postgraduate students and postdocs, with leadership experience at the Associate Professor or Full Professor level.
  • Expertise in synthetic biology, microbiology, molecular biology, bio-foundry, and biotechnology, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
