Machinist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Turner Machinist to join our team at the Isipingo site. The successful candidate will partner with the Production and Engineering team to achieve their objectives and provide excellent service to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain lathes and other machining equipment.
• Capable of operating boring mills.
• Thread cutting and machining of hard chrome shafts/material.
• Analyze and implement corrective measures on mechanical wear of old machinery/tools.
• Rebuild worn-out parts, align equipment, and manufacture spare components.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Collaborate across different disciplines.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a grade 12 qualification.
• Trade test in turning.
• 5 years of experience as a Machinist in a heavy industry environment.
• Experience in heavy turning.
