Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Growth:
    1. Develop and execute cargo business plans to meet local market strategies and performance metrics.
    2. Collaborate with Cargo Sales Officers to enhance revenue generation and engage with customers to achieve revenue targets.
    3. Lead capacity management efforts to maximize flight revenue and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Customer Engagement:
    1. Build strong relationships with customers to ensure exceptional service experiences and foster loyalty.
    2. Respond to customer inquiries, offline and e-booking requests promptly and professionally.
    3. Facilitate stakeholder communication across sales channels to drive revenue growth.
    4. Deliver exceptional service across customer interactions to enhance premium rates and business outcomes.
    5. Promote Cathay products and deliver consistent product solutions to meet customer needs.
    6. Keep customers informed about shipment status and provide timely solutions when needed.
  • Operational Support:
    1. Assist with cargo reservations, bookings, and deliver outstanding customer service.
    2. Review post-flight documentation and prepare comprehensive reports.
    3. Prepare accurate flight documentation for crew and customs officials.
    4. Notify vendors of flight schedules and delays, and manage freighter catering uplift and last-minute changes.
    5. Coordinate with engineering, airport operations, air traffic control, and vendors to ensure seamless operations.
    6. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth cargo flow.
    7. Optimize cargo service activities among sales, operations, and ground handling for efficient shipment handling.
    8. Monitor Ground Handling Agent performance, provide guidance, and report any issues.
    9. Address weather diversions and assist with flight diversions as needed.
    10. Participate in emergency response, station training, and compliance with safety, security, and quality standards.
    11. Conduct quality checks and participate in audits.
    12. Support crew administration, perform administrative tasks, and complete other duties as required.
    13. Collaborate with the Cargo Manager to implement e-initiatives and enhance e-Bookings and agent self-service functions.
    14. Perform Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as necessary.

Requirements:

Academic Background: A degree in any field. Advanced education or equivalent in a relevant field is highly desirable.

Skills, Knowledge, Training, and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the cargo industry is preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience with demonstrated customer service orientation.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and planning abilities.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with CHAMP CargoSpot systems is a plus.
