Job Description

The Plant Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant operations. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who can manage maintenance teams, optimize equipment productivity, and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement asset management systems to improve plant reliability and availability.
  • Conduct root cause analyses to identify downtime causes and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Maintain utilities such as steam and power generation equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Oversee the vehicle fleet, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Ensure compliance with legally required equipment inspections.
  • Manage engineering team performance and development.
  • Deliver mechanical maintenance within budgetary constraints.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a plant or maintenance engineer in a continuous operation, managing a maintenance team and budget.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of asset management, including preventative maintenance.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and quality management.
