A leading property investment company in South Africa requires a highly skilled Financial Manager to lead their finance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy Development: Create and execute financial plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Financial Analysis and Forecasting: Conduct thorough analysis and forecasting to inform decision-making.
  • Budget Creation and Monitoring: Prepare budgets and monitor performance against targets.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams for financial inputs, assistance, and issue resolution.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present financial reports to management and key stakeholders.
  • Monthly Performance Review: Review and analyze monthly financial performance reports.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors as needed.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Cash Flow Optimization: Manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
  • Accounts Receivable and Payable: Oversee receivables and payables to optimize cash flow efficiency.
  • Working Capital Management: Monitor and improve working capital management.

Cost Control & Budgeting:

  • Project Budgeting: Assist teams with project budgeting and tracking expenditures.
  • Cost Control Measures: Implement cost control measures to improve financial efficiency.
  • Cost Structure Analysis: Analyze cost structures to identify potential savings.
  • Budget Variance Reports: Prepare and present budget variance reports.
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Supervise financial record-keeping to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Tax Reconciliation: Review tax-related reconciliations and ensure timely tax submissions.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage tax calculations, compliance, and correspondence with relevant authorities.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Professional Certification: Qualified CA(SA); CGMA
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years minimum of experience post-qualification
  • Commercial Background: Experience working in a commercial environment is essential
  • Industry Familiarity: Experience within the Property Investment / Property Management industry is beneficial
  • FP&A Expertise: Proven track record in FP&A and Financial Reporting
  • Remuneration: Highly Competitive, Market-related
