We are seeking a skilled Bim Modeller to join our team of experts in Mechanical Building Services. This role involves routine, structured work in a required discipline, with the ability to take on more complex tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate will be an intermediate user in Autodesk Revit Software (Buildings) and have the ability to draw/model with limited supervision. They should also be proficient in other core discipline-specific software, such as NavisWorks, and have knowledge of AECOM standard modeling practices and procedures.

This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing Level 3 QA/QC checks on discipline models, maintaining and adhering to AECOM and project-specific filing systems, and adhering to the project BIM Execution Plan.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Develops and implements BIM upskilling programs for resources to enhance team capabilities.
  2. Supports the BIM Manager in creating and enforcing industry-standard content.
  3. Conducts thorough quality assurance and quality control checks on discipline models to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  4. Works independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  5. Reviews and understands construction documents to ensure accurate interpretation.
  6. Has knowledge of design parameters related to discipline-specific requirements and can apply them accordingly.
  7. Understands and follows AECOM's standard modeling practices and procedures.
  8. Maintains and adheres to AECOM and project-specific filing systems to ensure organization and accessibility.
  9. Follows the project BIM Execution Plan, adhering to defined project standards.
  10. Develops BIM content based on industry-standard modeling practices.
  11. Takes ownership of their work, ensuring accountability and quality.
  12. Ensures accuracy and quality of discipline models, meeting project requirements.
  13. Develops constituent parts of the Information Model in connection with specific tasks.
  14. Manages multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines.
  15. Communicates and collaborates with other disciplines regarding coordination issues and common model development tasks.
  16. Works within a team environment on single or multidisciplinary projects.
  17. Maintains awareness of compliance to safety and quality standards and integration of design.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Building services utilizing Revit, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Preferred candidates will have a certification or qualification in Mechanical built environment studies.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a BIM environment.
  • Preferred certification in Revit.
  • General understanding of integrated architectural and engineering practices.
