Job Summary:

Bidvest Facilities Management is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multifaceted Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on all equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  2. Repair and Servicing: Conduct repairs and servicing on all equipment as per SLA, including minor repairs and services on electrical and plumbing related equipment.
  3. Tier 1 Inspections: Perform tier 1 inspections and repairs on all air-conditioning related equipment to ensure efficient cooling and heating.
  4. Fire Safety: Conduct inspections and report back on all fire and access equipment, including fire extinguishers, hose reels, fire hydrants, fire detectors, and access control equipment.
  5. Office Movement: Perform office movement related tasks, including installation of furniture, shop fitting, repair of doors, locks, handles, windows, replacement of ceiling and carpet tiles, and general painting work.
  6. Assistance: Assist the Artisan with major repairs and services as required.
  7. Reporting: Provide constant feedback to the Facilities Manager/Service Manager/Building Manager/Resource Co-ordinator on restoration status of operations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Matric (Senior Certificate): Must hold a Matric (Senior Certificate) qualification.
  2. N3 Technical: Must hold an N3 Technical qualification in Electrical/Mechanical.
  3. Valid SA Driver's License: Must hold a valid SA driver's license.
  4. Relevant Experience: Must have at least 3 years of relevant experience in handyman maintenance tasks.
  5. Training and Knowledge: Must have basic training on hand tools, electrical, and mechanical equipment, as well as knowledge of OHS Act and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
