Main Purpose of the Job

The Client Relationship Manager is responsible for fostering strong client relationships throughout the entire client lifecycle. This involves end-to-end Client Relationship Management and Client Experience Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market the organization's products and services to existing clients and/or new clients to grow the lending Loan Book in relation to the Client Segmentation model for commercial and development farmers.
  • On receipt of client interest, view business plans of existing businesses and business plans and feasibility studies for start-up businesses, and pre-screen deals in terms of Land Bank funding and funds under administration eligibility and funding criteria.
  • Advise clients on the requirements for applications via written communication, and for viable deals, visit clients and perform due diligence on the prospective success of the business venture.
  • Acquire all additional internal credit checklist documentation prior to deal structuring, and work in consultation with members of the Agriculture Economics & Advisory Division and Risk Management to construct deals.
Requirements
  • Relevant 3-year qualification in accounting, commerce, business, banking, or other relevant and equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in the management of client relationships, preferably in a financial and customer-facing environment: 3 to 5 years.
  • Knowledge to assess a business plan and if applicable, feasibility study for agricultural sector value chain operating entities, and the competency to interpret financial models, business valuations, and perform advanced financial calculations: 3 to 5 years.
  • Basic knowledge of credit principles and practices and relevant legislation: 3 years.
