As a key member of the SGS team, the Slims Administrator will be responsible for performing daily administrative duties on the Laboratory Information Management System (SLIMS). This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Collects all analysis worksheets from analysts daily and records all analytical results on prescribed report sheets and number and typing of analyses done on the monthly tally sheet.
- Performs sample reception and creates job sheets on SLIMS.
- Validates jobs on SLIMS and forwards job sheets to technical signatories for reporting or to the Quality Co coordinator when QC material failed.
- Adheres to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
- Performs any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager.
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience.
- Grade 12, with Mathematics and Science.
- Laboratory background would be an advantage.
- Computer literate (Microsoft office).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Integrity.
- Attention to detail.
- Punctuality.
- Knowledge of Laboratory Quality Management System.
- Works well under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Must be flexible.
- Knowledge of entering data on the SLIMS.
- Speak, write, and understand English.
