Job Summary:
The Finance Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives. This role will oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, reports, and schedules in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Prepare and oversee budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior management to aid in decision-making.
- Ensure the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, reports, and schedules in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Supervise and mentor the Senior Accountant, providing guidance and support on complex accounting issues.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent discrepancies and safeguard assets.
- Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance financial operations.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA)/CIMA/SAIPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing senior-level staff.
- Strong proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
