Job Title: Head of Internal Audit

Emporium is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Internal Audit function. As the Head of Internal Audit, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic risk-based internal audit plan that aligns with the company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit plan that ensures the effectiveness of risk management processes and internal controls.
  • Provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
  • Manage the internal audit team and ensure that they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties.
  • Collaborate with the Audit Committee and other stakeholders to ensure that the internal audit function is aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in internal auditing and risk management.
Requirements:
  • Relevant business or commercial degree.
  • Completed professional qualification, such as CA(SA), is an added advantage.
  • At least 10 years of related working experience, with at least 3 years at a senior management level in an internal audit capacity.
  • Previous experience working within the ambit of the Audit Committee.
  • Sound knowledge of corporate governance and risk management principles.
