Position Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer in Wildlife Veterinary Medicine to join our team at the University of Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Veterinary Wildlife medicine and health and be able to teach and conduct research in this field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in wildlife-related topics;
  • Conduct research and publish papers in national and international scientific journals;
  • Supervise postgraduate students and obtain research grants;
  • Foster collaborations with industry stakeholders and engage with the community;
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a BVSc or BVMCh degree or equivalent professional veterinary qualification;
  • Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC) or eligibility for authorisation;
  • Strong publication record and research experience;
  • Proven track record of teaching and supervising students;
