Job Title: Professional Quantity Surveyor

Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Quantity Surveyor to join a leading firm in Cape Town, specializing in the building industry and government projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for building projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Project Cost Management: Manage and monitor project costs, including valuations and variations, to ensure projects are completed within budget and on time.
  • Procurement Strategies: Provide expert advice on procurement strategies and contract administration, ensuring optimal project outcomes.
  • Site Visits and Quality Control: Conduct site visits to assess project progress and quality, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Tender Documents and Bidding: Prepare tender documents and participate in the bidding process, ensuring the company's interests are represented.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining the company's reputation and integrity.
  • Project Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports, providing valuable insights for future projects.
Requirements:
  • Professional Qualifications: Registered as a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) with SACQSP.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in the building industry and government projects.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes, excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, proficient in project management and quantity surveying software, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
