Role Overview

A financial planning team is seeking an experienced Trust Officer Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trust administration, with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer trust investments, including local and offshore instructions, redemptions, switches, and transfers;
  • EFT payments to and on behalf of clients, prepare, verify, and capture payments on the internal system;
  • Audit debit balances and assist the Trust Officer with corrections;
  • Onboard new clients, review, and load client documents;
  • Prepare trust administration requirements and payments;
  • Act as a liaison with clients, respond to, and resolve all queries;
  • Ensure electronic and filing of investment administration, advisory record-keeping compliance;
  • Compile client monthly and quarterly reports;
  • Prepare client tax documents;
  • Provide general administrative support.
Requirements
  • Minimum Matric qualification and preferably some accounting or bookkeeping experience;
  • Previous experience in a similar role, proven track record of 3-5 years in the unit trust, local, and offshore investment/life assurance industry;
  • Computer literacy: MS Office suite and Excel (intermediate level);
  • Able to work independently with high attention to detail, excellent organisational skills;
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
