About the Role
We are seeking a skilled system development engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a System Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing technical solutions to complex problems.
Your new team builds and maintains tooling and automation that AWS support engineers rely on to diagnose issues reported by our customers accurately, resolve those issues reliably and effectively, and to ensure that shortest time to resolution possible.
You will get broad exposure to the AWS organization and learn more about the products and services that we build and support on a global basis. This is an opportunity to get involved in identifying and defining the most impactful solutions to ambiguous problems across a large product inventory at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, build, and implementation of technical solutions to complex problems.
- Lead reviews of architecture, design, operations, process, or post-incident analysis for your team. You will actively participate in reviews of systems owned by partner teams.
- Drive automation and refactoring of existing solutions, including incorporating new generative AI and machine learning components.
- Ensure scalability, reliability and efficiency of automation processes.
- Report and analyze usage statistics of the tools and services that our team owns.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks and deficiencies.
- Define your team's technical strategy and operating models.
- Hire and develop others by leveraging your expertise, coaching, and mentoring.
