Master Marine Machinist

We offer an attractive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. This is a competitive package that reflects the importance of this role within our organization.

The Master Marine Machinist will be responsible for:

• Oversight of daily operations and maintenance activities
• Conducting routine inspections and maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning efficiently and safely
• Diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues
• Collaboration with the captain and crew to coordinate operations
• Maintenance of accurate records and operational logs

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A marine engineering diploma or degree or equivalent certification
• Certificate of Competency issued by SAMSA
• Relevant experience in tugboats or similar vessels
• 12 months of sea service on vessels
• A strong understanding of marine propulsion systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems
