About the RoleThis is a key leadership position responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic account management and digital transformation solutions. As a subject matter expert in data, marketing, and commerce technology stack, you will work closely with top South African prospects and customers to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software or technology sales, account management, and enterprise software sales. They should possess a strong understanding of industry trends and be able to build a narrative around digital transformation.
- Educate the broader Account team on all Salesforce Data, Marketing and Commerce technology capabilities.
- Collaborate with the Account and Territory team to identify target accounts.
- Create and drive revenue within a specified region and/or list of named accounts.
- Generate business opportunities through networking, cold-calling, and prospecting into current Salesforce customers.
- Lead the sales cycle for the entire Salesforce Data, Marketing and Commerce technology stack - including lead generation, deal strategy, pricing and packaging, and assistance with deal closure.
Additionally, you will maintain accurate account and opportunity forecasting, ensure customer happiness and retention, and drive brand awareness, campaigns, and lead generation via networking, associations, etc.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A passion for selling transformative enterprise software or technology solutions to C-level executives into accounts of more than employees.
- Several years of experience in software or technology sales, account management, and enterprise software sales.
- A point of view of industry trends and the ability to build a narrative of digital transformation.
- Data, Digital Marketing and/or Commerce sales experience and experience with relevant technology preferred.
- A strong preference for prior experience with the full Salesforce Marketing Technology Stack - Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Data Cloud.
