Job Description

SRK Consulting South Africa is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Geologist Intern to join our team. As an Engineering Geologist Intern, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical, social, and ethical skills while supporting a variety of engineering tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Support engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
  • Learn basic principles of Engineering Geology.
  • Assist with project research, field work, including preliminary design calculations and analysis.
  • Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
  • Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
Requirements
  • BSc (honours) degree in Engineering Geology.
  • Active Candidate Natural Scientist registration with SACNASP or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated interest in Geological Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2 Years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
  • Capable of taking direction from supervisors, mentors, and managers.
  • Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
  • Good written and communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge and understanding of MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and MS PowerPoint.
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D knowledge will be an advantage.
