Job Title: Artisan - KZN

Location: Natal, Pinetown, Westmead

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Job Duties:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose technical issues to identify root causes
  • Develop and implement fabrication, welding, and assembly techniques to meet production requirements
  • Implement preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and provide detailed reports as needed
Required Qualifications:
  • Relevant trade qualification as an Artisan
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols
Education:

Completion of an apprenticeship programme in a relevant trade

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Artisan in a similar industry

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
  • Proficient in welding, fabrication, and assembly techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional certifications in relevant areas
  • Experience working with waste management or medical equipment
Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to various environmental conditions
  • May require working in tight spaces or at heights
  • Occasional weekend or overtime work may be necessary
