Job Overview

Ecentric Payment Systems is seeking a skilled Test Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of application changes before their release into production.

About the Role

The Test Analyst will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and evaluating comprehensive tests to validate functionality, performance, and stability. This includes identifying potential issues early, collaborating with development and business teams to ensure requirements are met, and certifying that changes align with organizational standards and end-user expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Extract test requirements from business specifications and develop detailed test plans.
  • Design, create, and maintain comprehensive test cases, including automation scripts where feasible.
  • Provide accurate effort estimates for testing activities and contribute to maintaining and improving testing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with developers to identify, verify, log, and track defects, and communicate effectively with clients to clarify defect reports and gather additional information when required.

Requirements

Education and Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in software testing, preferably in an Agile environment.
  • ISTQB qualification or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in API testing tools, such as Postman, and experience with automated testing tools, including Newman.
  • Familiarity with end-to-end testing tools, like Protractor, and hands-on experience with testing frameworks in Agile environments.
  • Background in the Financial Services industry is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Strong SQL skills and proven experience in test automation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
