We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join our team at The Recruitment Guy in Newcastle. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair services on commercial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct visual inspections and on-board diagnosis during the pre-diagnosis step.
- Receive and check workshop orders, and prepare the necessary parts and equipment.
- Perform maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer specifications and the maintenance schedule.
- Identify deviations and unusual wear and tear, and initiate additions to the order or feedback to the customer.
- Reset maintenance systems and replace dismantled parts.
- Document work carried out, record working hours, and return the workshop order to the Team Leader/Workshop Controller.
- Trade Tested Diesel Technician/Mechanic qualification.
- Minimum 3-5 years post-trade test experience as a Truck Technician.
- Previous work experience within a Truck Dealership/Commercial Truck Workshop industry/environment.
- Big Commercial Brand truck exposure/experience.
- Mechanical truck skills, truck diagnostics, and equipment experience.
- Workshop administration skills.
- Code 14 (advantage).
