Electrician Trainee

Givaudan is a leading global company that creates some of the world's most famous fragrances and flavors. We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician Trainee to join our team in Gauteng, Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities

1. Raise Purchase Requests (PR) and follow up on Purchase Orders (POs)
2. Raise job cards when requested and close job cards, reporting any deviations noted
3. Filing and scanning of documents
4. Update various spreadsheets
5. Manage contractors, issuing permits and ensuring areas are neat and tidy
6. Assist with supplier quote requests as needed
7. Support task execution in one of the Engineering or Maintenance areas
8. Maintain and update records of drawings, manuals, SOPs and other information storage means/devices
9. Monitor Key Performance Indicators and issue reports upon request
10. Plan and schedule repair and maintenance work across the site
11. Analyse equipment failures to determine root causes and recommend design improvements
12. Help develop a continuous work schedule to maintain all company property, ensuring safe and healthy working conditions for employees

Your Professional Profile Includes:

1. Grade 12
2. Studying towards Electrician and/or Millwright qualification or requiring workplace experience to complete trade test
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills
4. Computer literacy
5. Ability to work under pressure
6. Interest in engineering/technical roles
