Job Summary:

Abantu Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Stereo Supervisor to join our client's team within the Packaging Industry. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Stereo and Die departments, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate samples to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effectively manage manpower by utilizing the manning schedule, promoting teamwork, and maintaining planned schedules.
  • Manage the Stereo and Die departments to achieve optimal Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and minimize downtime.
  • Liaise with service providers to ensure consistent quality of products and implement innovative measures.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act, Legal and Statutory Requirements, ISO Standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, FSSC22000), Quality Assurance, and ISO45001.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12/Matric qualification.
  • National Diploma in Production Supervision.
  • Qualification in Graphic Design or a related field is advantageous.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing and printing industry.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Proficient in CAD software.
  • Strong structural knowledge of carton design and carton erectors.
  • Accurate measuring skills to size cartons for application.
  • Knowledge of paper and board specifications and characteristics.
  • Attention to detail and strong housekeeping skills.
