Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record General Ledger Transactions: You will be responsible for recording all general ledger transactions, including prepaid, accruals, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts.
  • Prepare Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations: You will prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financial records.
  • Manage Cash Flow: You will manage cash flow and perform bank reconciliations to ensure timely payment of bills and invoices.
  • Generate Sales Invoices: You will generate and follow up on sales invoices and overdue accounts to ensure timely payment from clients.
  • Process Accounts Payable Payments: You will set up and process accounts payable payments to suppliers and vendors.
  • Month-End Close Process: You will oversee the month-end close process and prepare group reporting to management.
  • Payroll Data Review: You will review payroll data in collaboration with payroll providers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • VAT Returns: You will file monthly VAT returns and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Support: You will assist with audit processes and manage queries with local and group auditors.
  • External Stakeholder Liaison: You will liaise with external stakeholders such as banks, clients, and service providers to ensure timely communication and resolution of issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role is required.
  • Professional Qualification: Progress toward a professional finance qualification is advantageous.
  • Skills and Qualifications: A solid understanding of reconciliations and general accounting practices is required. Experience with accounting software and multi-currency transactions is also required.

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is between $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
