We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in the Western Cape region. This role will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing mechanical assets from reputable suppliers.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in procurement. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this role. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required, as well as working knowledge of SYSPRO.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and purchasing mechanical assets from suppliers
- Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers
- Managing supplier relationships and resolving any issues that may arise
- Conducting cost-benefit analyses and making recommendations to management
- Maintaining accurate records of purchases and inventory levels
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of SYSPRO
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is R550,000 - R650,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include medical aid, retirement fund contributions, and 15 days annual leave.
