Job Title: Software Development Professional

We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Development Professional to join HR Genie. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our VR content hosting platform.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Development and Maintenance:
    • Develop new features for the VR content hosting web and standalone applications.
    • Maintain a unified codebase across platforms (web and standalone).
    • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and backups of the application.
  • Bug Fixing and Quality Assurance:
    • Identify and resolve application bugs promptly.
    • Conduct thorough QA testing before releases to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Staging Environment Management:
    • Design, implement, and maintain a staging environment to test new features and updates.
    • Ensure robust risk management processes are in place to shield customers from bugs and downtime associated with feature releases.
  • Feature Enhancement and Scoping:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to scope and implement new features, including LMS functionalities.
    • Continuously improve user experience based on customer feedback.
  • Hosting and Deployment Management:
    • Manage AWS hosting environments, ensuring uptime and scalability.
    • Handle Vercel deployments and related configurations.
  • Documentation and Code Integrity:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for application features, updates, and maintenance routines.
    • Ensure secure and efficient version control practices.
Requirements:
  • Formal Tertiary education:
    • Grade 12
    • Information Technology Degree / National Diploma Software Development
  • Languages:
    • English Read, write and speak (required)
    • Afrikaans Read, write and speak (optional)
  • Drivers Licence: Code 8- (required)
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in:
    • Proficiency in React, NodeJs
    • Familiarity / Williness to learn: Nextron, Vercel, AWS, and Tailwind CSS (advantageous) Electron, and Next.js.
Benefits:
  • Estimated salary: R650,000 per annum
