Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in the Western Cape Government.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train construction and maintenance operators and supervisors.
• Operate and maintain machines and equipment for road maintenance.
• Inspect roads and compile defects list for planning purposes.
• Plan and manage materials usage and plant utilization.
• Coordinate construction and maintenance work and administrative tasks.
• Ensure the safety of working areas and discipline subordinates as needed.

Requirements

• Grade (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
• A valid driving licence (Code C or higher) with PDP.
• Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and construction of roads and operating construction machines.
• Proven computer literacy and written and verbal communication skills.

Competencies

• Daily planning, organizing, and coordinating of civil construction work and/or maintenance thereof.
• Relevant further training.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain good interpersonal relations.

Remuneration

R per annum (Salary Level 6)
