Main Purpose of Job

The primary objective of this role is to provide technical expertise and diagnostic support within the service department, ensuring that colleagues are well-informed on best practices for repairs and improvements as per customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • To carry out repairs and diagnostic work in a timely and efficient manner, as instructed.
  • To provide guidance and support to colleagues on technical matters, ensuring that they are equipped to handle complex issues.
  • To ensure that diagnostic equipment is used correctly for vehicle examinations, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and precision.
  • To take proactive steps to ensure that servicing of vehicles remains within the targeted percentages of the manufacturers' time, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
  • To maintain the highest standards of vehicle care and safety while performing functions, ensuring that vehicles are returned to customers in a neat and clean condition.
  • To ensure that diagnosis leads to the most cost-effective and accurate remedy to fault or customer complaint, minimizing downtime and maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • To accurately complete job cards and additional information on the vehicle before handing the job card to the Service Advisor, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
