We are seeking a Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team at SkillsMap.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts to ensure timely collections, accurate payment allocations, and effective resolution of account queries while maintaining strong internal and external relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and sustain internal and external customer relationships.
  • Manage Customer Accounts by ensuring cash flow forecasting, customer visits, and collaboration with various departments to streamline processes.
  • Liaise with internal departments to enhance an effective collection process.
  • Self-manage and take ownership of performance.
  • Allocate payments and capture query lists on SAP. Follow up on queries, reprinting invoices, finding PODs, resolving price discrepancies internally and externally.
  • Create monthly cash flow forecasts.
  • Maintain regular visits to key customers, their stores, engineers, and payment offices.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Experience in Credit Control or AR is essential.
  • SAP experience is advantageous.
