Job Overview

Civil Construction Safety Officer position available at Power Construction (Pty) Ltd. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by conducting inspections, enforcing safety regulations, and promoting a culture of health and safety on construction sites.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site safety audits, inspections and hazard identification to ensure compliance with OSH Act and company policies.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to minimize risks.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, recommending corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and training sessions to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Maintain accurate records of audits, incidents and training to ensure transparency.
  • Support emergency preparation and response planning to ensure business continuity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Degree or NQF Level 5 qualification in SHE Management or a related field.
  • SACPCMP registration as a Safety Officer is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a construction safety role.
