Hire Resolve's client in the Commercial and Industrial Solar PV Installation industry is seeking a skilled Solar Installation Supervisor to lead the installation of Solar PV projects in Pretoria.

Key Responsibilities"
  1. Oversee the installation of Solar PV projects according to provided design specifications.
  2. Ensure compliance with HR codes, company policies, and procedures, emphasizing quality and safety.
  3. Follow engineering drawings to install systems to specifications.
  4. Develop expertise in company standards within the probation period.
  5. Understand project site workflow and standards within six months.
  6. Capable of running a full site within 12 months of starting with the company.
  7. Install AC and DC components, cable trays, and DB boards.
  8. Configure DB boards as necessary.
  9. Complete post-project documentation, including DC quality checklists, in-progress and final photos, and labeling.
  10. Document installation progress, such as wire management, serial numbers, and site maps.
  11. Submit daily progress reports and expense reports online for the Project Manager.
  12. Set a positive tone for the team, inspiring them to exceed goals and expectations.
  13. Develop a positive working dynamic within installation crews.
  14. Regularly check on installer progress to ensure installations are performed as per engineering pack and construction timelines.
  15. Ensure adequate materials and equipment for safe and efficient project completion.
  16. Maintain and inspect test equipment, including periodic calibration checks.
  17. Be responsible for company-issued equipment.
  18. Drive responsibly and be accountable for any fines issued to the allocated vehicle.
  19. Report roadworthiness and future-dated services of the company vehicle.
  20. Maintain excellent communication lines.
  21. Provide constructive feedback to management.
  22. Report accurately worked hours and stand down, communicating with the HR manager.
  23. Ensure accuracy of your own and your team's timesheets.
  24. Maintain housekeeping at work locations, including the site, office, and company vehicle.
Requirements"

Preferably a qualified electrician or 5 years in a similar role.

Experience with AC installation.

Proficient in DC installations.

Able to install and wire cable trays and DB boards as needed.

Ability to follow engineering drawings and install systems to specifications.

Organizational and planning skills.

Strong team leadership abilities.

Effective communication skills.
