We are seeking a qualified Senior Finance Professional to join our team at Air Products South Africa (Pty) Ltd in Kempton Park.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customers, identifying areas of opportunity for revenue growth, and implementing strategies to minimize bad debt.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Mitigate outstanding debt and minimize risk within the terms granted to each customer.
  2. Apply all relevant internal processes such as receipt allocation, releasing of orders, credit notes, and constant reporting of overdue customers to the supervisor and manager.
  3. Plan and manage various meetings with customers and internal cross-department functions.
  4. Planning, matrix reporting, and constant communication on various platforms with all related internal departments.
  5. Safety and housekeeping.

Requirements:

  1. Matric with bookkeeping/accounting.
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience in debt collecting in the commercial industry.
  3. Must have experience in asset/stock control.
  4. Proven ability to negotiate and build strong customer relationships.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  6. Deadline-driven, ability to work under pressure.
  7. Must be willing to travel as and when required.
  8. Must have valid and unendorsed driver's license.
  9. Computer literate and proficient in MS Office Suite, Teams, and the JDE system.
