Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technology/Domain Specialist II to join our team at Nedbank. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for owning and evolving multiple technology or domain assets, influencing their health, and maintaining their overall quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on technology or domain expertise and experience.
  • Design, architect, and build effective solutions according to industry best practices.
  • Conduct technology reviews of code and design quality assurance.
  • Drive asset health in relevant technologies or domains.
  • Define and review patterns, practices, and standards in technology or domain application.
  • Guide code branching and merging.
  • Collaborate with domain architects and technical consultants on technology and/or domain roadmaps.
  • Work within governance and compliance frameworks of the organization.
  • Develop and implement technical roadmaps in the context of the organization's architecture and interdependent technologies.
  • Conduct research and development experimentation to test thinking regarding technology or domain applicability.
  • Participate in special interest groups and conferences relating to these assets.
  • Ensure an understanding of technology or domain requirements, performance integrations, and optimization.
  • Assist with and apply troubleshooting to resolve issues.
  • Evaluate and influence technology decisions.
  • Mitigate risk by evaluating risks and impacts on technology or domain.
  • Update the asset knowledge base.
  • Conduct internal knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and upskilling of others within the area of expertise.
  • Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives, and values.
  • Stay abreast of developments in the field of expertise.
  • Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the Nedbank culture building initiatives.
  • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy.
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes, models, and systems through agile thinking.
  • Conduct self-development both by mentoring others and being mentored.
  • Participate in the talent management practice of the Engineering stream.
Vital Knowledge
  • Developing solutions in Dynamics 365, including configuration, workflow, and plug-in development, are required.
  • Experience with Power BI or SSRS, OData, and FetchXML is a plus.
  • Solid experience designing, architecting, and building effective solutions according to industry best practices is a must, as is experience with the full systems development life cycle as it pertains to business application development projects.
  • Experience in estimating application design/development work and that of others, and in the creation of application technical standards and documentation.
  • You will be expected to be self-motivated in researching alternative technologies, tools, and techniques to solve business problems with application solutions.
  • Experience migrating data from legacy CRM implementations to Dynamics 365 is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with an ability to translate technical concepts as appropriate to the level of the audience.
Essential Qualifications
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees.
Preferred Certifications

Certificate in relevant Technology or Domain.

Minimum Experience Level
  • 5 years+ working with C# and the .Net Framework, web development experience with JavaScript and web services is required.
  • 2 years+ developing solutions in Dynamics 365, including configuration, workflow, and plug-in development, are required.
