About the Role

\

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our crew as a Youth Staff member on board one of our luxury cruise ships. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a fun and engaging environment for children and teenagers, while also ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • \
  • Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, sports, and educational programs\
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care, following all company policies and procedures\
  • BUILD POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS, PROMOTING A WELCOMING AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT\
  • Assist with the organization and execution of special events and themed parties for children and families\
  • Maintain a clean and organized youth area, ensuring all toys and equipment are in good condition\
  • Collaborate with other Youth Staff and shipboard departments to create a cohesive and seamless experience for guests\
  • Attend mandatory trainings and meetings, staying up-to-date with all company policies and procedures\
  • Act as a role model for children, promoting good behavior and enforcing discipline when necessary\
  • Communicate effectively with parents and shipboard management, providing updates on activities and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise\
  • Participate in emergency drills and procedures as required by the ship's safety protocols\
  • Requirements:\

    • High school diploma or equivalent, some college education in a related field preferred\
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting\
    • CPR and First Aid certification\
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills\
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment\
    • Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed\
    • Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus\
    • MUST PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TEST\
    • Previous cruise ship experience is a plus\
