At HR Genie, we are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to spearhead our engineering functions and drive operational excellence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, optimizing production processes, and promoting innovation within the organization.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies that enhance operational performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Oversight of capital and expense budgets for engineering operations is also expected.
  • Manage daily engineering activities, focusing on efficiency in production systems and adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead and motivate the engineering team, ensuring proper staffing, training, and performance management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, machine availability, and cost-saving measures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Maintain and optimize critical operational infrastructure, including cold chain units, ice plants, and lake operations.
  • Efficient procurement and stocking of critical operational spares is also required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance operational capabilities.
  • Provide engineering reports and insights to management for strategic decision-making.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Technical expertise in engineering systems, design, and maintenance is essential.
  • Knowledge of project management and process optimization is also required.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget planning and cost control.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of analytical and operational planning skills.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in an engineering management role is required.
  • Training in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Advanced Excel for Engineers is an advantage.
  • Masters degree in Engineering is a must.
  • Professional Engineering Certification is also required.
