Job Description

CHEP is a leading global provider of supply chain solutions. Our company's commitment to human rights and sustainability drives our business practices. We are seeking an experienced Human Rights Compliance Expert to join our team.

About the Role
This position will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of CHEP's Global Human Rights Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Designing and implementing human rights monitoring programs in each region, applying to both CHEP and its value chains.
  2. Conducting salient issue assessments and human rights inspections within CHEP's operations and escalating non-conformities as necessary.
  3. Working with regions to support suppliers undergoing SMETA audits at CHEP's request, either for the human rights monitoring program or due diligence requirements.
  4. Guiding and tracking human rights inspections of third parties globally and escalating non-conformities as needed.
  5. Maintaining a Human Rights Monitoring Program Tracker.
  6. Delivering human rights training to relevant stakeholders and conducting awareness campaigns.
  7. Carrying out internal investigations and compliance risk assessments as assigned.

Key Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. A Bachelor's degree or first degree equivalent in a legal, paralegal, or international business discipline.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in legal or compliance-related roles.
  3. Strong analytical, writing, and research skills.
  4. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to organize large volumes of data.
  5. Corporate compliance experience in a diversified global company.
  6. Experience in carrying out investigations and/or risk assessments.
