Senior Horticulturalist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Horticulturalist to join our team at The Legends Agency in Camps Bay. This is a unique chance to shape the landscapes of this beautiful area and contribute to an esteemed establishment that values creativity, sustainability, and employee growth.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position with a salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of horticulture principles and practices, including plant propagation, culturation, and nursery management.
  • You will be responsible for managing and supervising a gardens and grounds team effectively, ensuring high standards in garden aesthetics and health.
  • Additionally, you will work closely with property owners and managers to understand project scopes, facilitate ordering, planting, and maintenance of trees, shrubs, ground covers, and turf grasses across various properties.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in horticulture, botany, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in horticulture, with a thorough knowledge of plant propagation, culturation, and nursery management principles.
  • Experience in managing and supervising a gardens and grounds team effectively.
