Laboratory Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team at MNA Recruitment (Pty) Ltd. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for performing chemical testing on Finished Product and Water Samples.

• Ensure that samples received agree to the Production Program and label copy
• Follow correct procedures to ensure accurate results
• Calculate results to determine acceptability
• Ensure samples are taken at the correct process steps and released timeously
• Sample and test monthly water points timeously
• Test finished products using current pharmacopoeias/SOP associated with 'wet' chemistry and instrumental techniques
• Initiate an out of specification investigation form and report failing results to the Supervisor/Manager
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and validated before use
• Discard samples after analysis in the waste area
• Determine whether results are acceptable and liaise with Supervisor/Manager to determine if resampling/retesting is required
• Perform duties deemed necessary by Superior
• Assist in the investigation of out of specification results
• Ensure compliance to limits on the Analytical reports
• Test customer complaints as and when required

• BSc Degree or National Diploma in Chemistry
• 2-3 years Lab experience in Pharmaceutical Industry
• HPLC experience in Pharmaceuticals Quality Control Laboratory will be an advantage
