AGC Mining Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Hygiene Specialist to join one of their mines in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating all Occupational Hygiene and emergency preparedness & response matters to ensure legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compile, implement, and maintain OH COPs, risk assessments, and related documents.
  • Develop and manage effective OH strategies and systems based on risk assessment outcomes.
  • Manage OH measurement and monitoring strategies, investigations, and reporting.
  • Report on the effectiveness of Emergency preparedness programmes.
  • Submit statutory reports to the DMRE.
Requirements
  • Degree in Environmental Health or Certificate in Mine Environmental Control issued by the Chamber of Mines of South Africa or equivalent.
  • Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control issued by the Chamber of Mines of South Africa and certified as an Occupational Hygienist by the Southern African Institute for Occupational Hygiene (SAIOH).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Occupational Hygiene in a mining environment.
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing an Occupational Hygiene Department.
