Santam Operations, Commercial Contact Centre seeks a dedicated and skilled Insurance Consultant to join their team in Johannesburg. As an Insurance Consultant, you will provide end-to-end service and support to brokers, ensuring seamless interactions and successful client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Servicing broker requests, including enquiries, with professionalism and efficiency.
- Providing telephonic and email support to intermediaries, authorised representatives, and broker services.
- Handling general insurance and policy-specific enquiries with expertise and courtesy.
- Issuing new policies, maintaining existing ones, renewing contracts, and managing agri aspects of policies with precision.
- Resolving insurance queries within required timeframes and adhering to compliance requirements.
- Following up with clients upon policy cancellation to understand reasons and retain business.
- Adjusting premiums based on new asset values while managing client expectations.
- Adhering to underwriting criteria and regional requirements for consistent excellence.
- Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
- 60 commercial lines FAIS credits.
- A relevant insurance-related qualification (e.g., NQF lev 5) is advantageous.
- Proven work experience in commercial, agriculture policy administration, and underwriting within the short-term insurance industry.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in short-term insurance commercial lines and/or Agri assets.
