We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Finance Manager to join our team at Santam Re & International. As a key member of the management team, you will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance team to deliver high-quality financial reporting and analysis, developing and implementing financial plans, analyzing financial data, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Provide strategic financial advice to the management team
  • Develop and implement financial plans to drive business growth
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Mentor and develop staff to enhance their skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • CA (SA) qualification essential
  • Minimum 5+ years post-qualification experience in a senior finance role
  • Audit background preferred, with experience in financial services
  • Non-life insurance experience essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively
